Rehabilitation of an apartment

Rua Saraiva de Carvalho, Lisbon

151.80 m2

PROJECT: 2009

BUILT

WORK COMPLETION DATE: 2011

The intervention aimed to adapt the apartment to the client's way of living.

Thus, maximum use was made of the existing walls, eliminating obstacles, redefining spaces and creating a significant area for storage.

The conditions for displaying artistic and symbolic objects were optimized, synthesizing functionality and environmental unity, with the diversity of environments being deepened through indirect lighting options.

To increase comfort, special glass and heated walls were used, taking into account the energy savings resulting from the lighting and heating system used.

The environmental narrative integrated the architectural space and furniture as an organizing element and in order to take advantage of the views to the outside through different positions and possibilities of use.
